Nonprofit Capacity Building Training

NonProfit Capacity Building Training_FINAL

PURPOSE

The Local Health Authority is committed to maintaining an accessible and high-quality health care system in Imperial County.  Such a system would enable improvements in the health status of the community by focusing not only on clinical care, but also on the impact of the social determinants of health, health equity for all residents, and the reduction of health disparities.

In 2019 and 2020, we will support a training initiative that engages nonprofits to improve their abilities in the following areas:

  • SYSTEMS THINKING & ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
  • ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY
  • ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS

By investing in the capacity of nonprofits that serve our residents, we aim to strengthen our community’s ability to work on systems change efforts, form effective partnerships, and increase cross-sector communication so we can better meet the health and social needs of our population.
